The story

Life has always been hard in Dunmoor. The Choking Pox emptied Loxford, wolves drove the shepherds from Morcroft, and now something worse is killing livestock and villagers across the moor. The Reeve of Wolcomb has posted a hundred gold pieces on the Beast. Hunters have come and gone, some of them for good. The heroes arrive as strangers in a region that does not trust strangers, with four villages, a forest, the hills and a cold lake to search, while fear turns neighbours against each other night by night.

A reactive sandbox on a one-mile hex map: travel between four settlements and a dozen sites, follow the evidence, listen to rumours, and keep Dunmoor from tearing itself apart while the nights grow worse.
