BILLING
Cancelling and refunds
How plans end, how refunds work and what happens to credits. Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record.
This page states what applies today. The full text is being finalised and will be published here before any payment can be taken. Version summary-2026-10-21.
Cancelling a plan
Cancel at any time, in one step, from Settings, Plan: it opens the payment provider’s customer portal. You keep the plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew after that. Your characters, campaigns and adventures are never deleted because a plan ends; only starting a live table needs an active plan or grant.
A plan only ever starts from a checkout you complete yourself. A trial or promotional hosting never turns into a paid plan on its own, and nothing is charged when it ends.
Refunds
Payments are not refunded, including for the unused part of a period. Instead you can cancel at any time: the plan simply does not renew, and you keep it until the end of the period you paid for.
This does not limit your rights under the consumer law where you live. Where the law gives you a right to cancel and be refunded, such as the EU right of withdrawal for digital services, Paddle handles it under its buyer terms, and any refund goes back to the way you paid.
If a payment is refunded or charged back, the plan or credits it paid for end.
Credits
Credits pay for usage at your tables, such as AI. When a credit purchase is refunded, the credits it added are removed as far as they are unused; credits already used cannot be taken back, and a balance never goes below zero. Promotional credits from Elrune are not money: they cannot be bought, sold, refunded, withdrawn or exchanged.
Receipts and invoices
Paddle sends a receipt for every payment and issues the invoice, including VAT or sales tax where it applies. Your payments are also listed under Billing, with a link to each receipt.
